What Is Paint Correction?

Paint Correction or machine polishing is a process designed to remove swirl marks (very fine scratches caused by poor washing methods and other wear and tear) from your vehicles paint. it can also be used to remove minor scuffs on your cars bodywork as long as the scratch has not gone through the lacquer (clearcoat on top of the paint).

The car must be thoroughly cleaned before the car is prepared (see our Full Valet for the process) the vehicle will then be treated to a chemical decontamination (fallout/iron particle remover and tar remover) and finally a clay bar treatment to remove any contaminents bonded to the paint. By fully cleansing the vehicles paint we are able to ensure no dirt will get trapped between the paint and the polishing pad causing further damage or disappointing results.

In roughly between 18 and 24 inch sections we will work our way round the car with the machine polishing process to remove swirls and scratches. Prices will vary on quality of paint, color, and size of vehicle due to the amount of stages (different steps of pad density and different polishing compounds) needed to restore your paint and also the amount of time spent on the vehicle.

The photo shows a panel before and after being corrected the left side shows the original condition of the paint and the right shows the condition of the paint after a enhancement. As you can see not only does it change the paints condition but also the depth and the of the color of the paint.

Once this is completed it may be worth considering a Ceramic Coating to protect your paint and add depth and gloss.
